We’re a small, family-run business with big dreams, rooted in one simple mission: to share a real taste of Vietnam with the people of Maine.Our story doesn’t start with a business plan. It starts in a kitchen far away, where a grandmother would spend hours layering flavors—sweet, savory, spicy, crunchy—into something magical she called “bánh mì.”It was more than just a sandwich. It was a hug you could taste.

When we moved to the U.S., that memory traveled with us.We missed the street food stalls buzzing with life, the quick smiles from vendors, the way a single bánh mì could lift your whole day.So we decided to bring a piece of that spirit here.

At Vy Bánh Mì, every sandwich we make is a tribute to home.We bake our bread fresh, light but crispy on the outside—just the way it’s meant to be.We marinate our meats with traditional recipes passed down through generations.We pickle our own carrots and daikon, whip up creamy house-made pâté, and add that little sprinkle of magic that only comes from cooking with heart.

In Vietnamese, "Vy" means "small"—a little thing with a big soul. It’s a name that reminds us to stay humble, stay close to our roots, and always put love into what we do. “Vy” is also the name of our passionate founder, who has an immense love for cooking Vietnamese food.

Today, Vy Bánh Mì is more than just a food truck.It’s a bridge between two worlds: the bustling streets of Saigon and the friendly neighborhoods of Maine.It’s a place where a quick lunch can turn into a new favorite memory.It’s where you come hungry and leave with a full belly and maybe a little more joy in your heart.
